Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks a sales professional to manage accounts and solicit new business for The Westin at The Woodlands. You will develop relationships with clients, entertain, and maintain relationships to meet revenue goals in rooms, food, beverage, and rental.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in sales within a hotel environment, strong market-trend knowledge, and the ability to coordinate across hotel departments to close deals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of past sales experience preferred.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of market trends, competition, and key customers of the hotel.
• Ability to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; Delphi knowledge mentioned in job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new and existing accounts to meet revenue goals through prospecting, calls, site inspections and written communication.
• Produce room, banquet, and room rental revenue through direct solicitation and negotiations.
• Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to clients.
• Coordinate departments' participation in servicing accounts and manage details for closing.
• Develop and conduct persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients.
• Prepare information for meetings and entertain clients as appropriate.
• Communicate directions to all hotel departments to ensure high service quality.
• Prepare correspondence and internal reports; participate in sales meetings and industry events.
