Job summary

WCF Insurance seeks an experienced claims professional to manage complex bodily injury cases, including catastrophic injuries. Candidate will investigate thoroughly, review records, assess liability and coverage, and work with legal counsel on litigation.

This role requires licensing ability and at least five years of complex claims and litigation experience, with strong written and verbal communication. The incumbent will coordinate with underwriting, product and legal teams to improve loss

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or AIC designation required.
• 5+ years handling complex claims and litigation in commercial insurance.
• Experience with construction liability, D&O, and E&O claims a plus.
• Strong knowledge of tort law, policy contracts, and litigation procedures.
• Ability to interpret medical records and legal filings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex bodily injury claims including catastrophic cases.
• Conduct thorough investigations using police reports, medical records, and witnesses.
• Assess liability, damages, and coverage to guide claim decisions.
• Collaborate with legal counsel on mediations, depositions, trials as needed.
• Negotiate settlements within authority while balancing cost and resolution.
• Provide feedback on loss trends to underwriting and product teams.
