Opticore is looking for a senior software engineer specializing in compiler development to work on our photonic computing platform. You will co-design the ISA and execution model while owning the compiler stack that enables efficient execution of AI workloads.

The role emphasizes collaboration with hardware teams and requires at least 7 years of compiler engineering experience. Ideal candidates will have expertise in MLIR, LLVM, or equivalent technologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on compiler engineering experience (MLIR, LLVM, TVM, XLA, or equivalent).
• Experience lowering ML workloads onto custom or non-standard hardware targets.
• Ability to read and reason about hardware architecture and influence design.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the System Architect to co-define the ISA and hardware-software interface.
• Design and implement the compiler stack for Opticore's photonic platform.
• Contribute to the runtime layer: memory management and execution scheduling.
