Job summary

Amgen seeks a Competitive Intelligence Senior Manager for Rare Disease to lead intelligence for multiple assets, synthesize data into strategic insights, and inform senior stakeholders. You will partner with US and Global Marketing and cross-functional teams, manage external vendors, and support major medical congresses with intelligence and debriefs.

You’ll guide strategic exercises, balance priorities, and ensure CI activities comply with legal/ethical standards, while traveling 15–20% as

Qualifications

Doctorate degree with analytics/competitive intelligence experience or equivalent
Advanced degrees preferred in life sciences/business
Experience with life sciences/rare disease consulting or biopharma is a plus
Strong ability to synthesize data into strategic insights and communicate recommendations

Responsibilities

Be a strategic thought partner to cross-functional teams in Rare Disease
Synthesize data to develop strategic insights and actions
Manage changing priorities across multiple customers
Develop plans with Global/Regional teams using standard methodologies
Apply structured problem solving to collect and report competitive intelligence
Communicate impact of market changes to leadership with evidence-based recommendations
Coordinate CI collection at major conferences and debriefs
Identify and implement new CI technologies and workflows
Collaborate with CI leads and educate stakeholders on findings
