Neuberger Berman is seeking a Senior Compensation Specialist to join our Global Compensation & Analytics team on a fixed-term basis through February 2026. This role will collaborate closely with team members to provide strategic compensation support, ensure competitive and equitable pay practices, and play a key role in processes such as compensation planning, budgeting, and the year-end compensation review.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze human capital data to deliver meaningful metrics supporting the broader HCM function and senior management (e.g., workforce activity, headcount forecasting, compensation reviews).
Support compensation benchmarking processes using McLagan surveys to ensure the Firm’s compensation is competitive.
Assist in the design and implementation of compensation programs.
Facilitate the annual, firmwide compensation planning cycle in partnership with the Compensation team.
Provide project support, including developing project plans, managing timelines, and ensuring deliverables are met.
Prepare routine weekly, monthly, and ad hoc compensation and headcount reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in compensation or a related field.
Prior experience in Asset Management or Financial Services preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, SUMIFS, nested IFs) with the ability to analyze large data sets and present results clearly.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex compensation concepts to stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and influence at all organizational levels.
Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and discretion.
Proficiency with Tableau and Workday Adaptive Workforce Planning is a plus.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $120,000-$165,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
