Job summary

Tulane University’s PERSI Lab seeks a Senior Program Coordinator to support community-engaged research improving wellbeing of children and families from historically marginalized communities in New Orleans.

You will coordinate research and outreach with community organizations, schools, and families; manage lab operations and supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers; develop culturally informed resources and promote equity-focused approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, public health, education, or psychology or related field.
• 1 year of related professional experience or a high school diploma with 4 years of related professional experience.
• Experience with community engagement and recruitment.
• Familiarity with human subjects research/IRB processes preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with community organizations, schools and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research and outreach activities with community-based organizations, schools and families.
• Support data collection and development of culturally informed resources.
• Promote strengths-based frameworks highlighting resilience, ethnic identity, and family processes.
• Manage day-to-day lab operations and support graduate/undergraduate researchers.
