You will serve as a media spokesperson for community outreach and coordinate with internal teams to advance Vistra’s priorities. The role requires extensive experience in community relations and government affairs, with a focus on energy industry context and long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in community relations or related areas.
• 2+ years minimum experience in government, economic development, or public issues communications.
• Experience through college degrees or certifications is applicable.
• Ability to detect issues and interpret information accurately.
• Strong communications, leadership, and management skills.
• Knowledge of energy industry and Vistra priorities.
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage community affairs programs, sustainability initiatives, corporate donations and nonprofit sponsorships aligned with Vistra priorities.
• Lead partnerships with governmental bodies, chambers of commerce and civic groups.
• Serve as media spokesperson for community outreach efforts and events.
• Draft news releases, advisories, social media posts and internal announcements.
• Ensure local officials are well informed about company operations and priorities.
• Coordinate external communications with Sales, Marketing and Government Affairs.
• Oversee communications during town halls, open houses, tours and special programs.
