Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Community Midwife to join our community teams in Winchester. You will provide continuity of antenatal and postnatal care, working across hubs and community settings with a flexible mix of weekdays and weekends.

You must be registered with the NMC in the UK and able to practice autonomously. A full UK driving licence and vehicle access are necessary.

Qualifications

• Registered midwife with NMC in the UK (PIN) and eligible to practice autonomously.
• Experience in community antenatal and postnatal care.
• Ability to work a mix of weekdays and weekends and participate in on-call.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality women-centred care in hubs and community settings.
• Promote safe and effective practice and improve experiences for women and families.
• Deliver total midwifery care for high and low risk mothers across environments.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate maternity care as part of the team.
• Be accountable for own actions and maintain strong multidisciplinary communication.
