Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Community & Citizenship professional to manage local programs, align outreach with business-unit goals, and coordinate with procurement to expand opportunities for UBEs while ensuring compliance with OFCCP regulations.

You will oversee reporting, budget planning, and workforce development initiatives, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to drive social impact across Detroit and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from accredited programs and 8+ years of related experience or equivalent
• Established local market and industry knowledge
• Active community involvement and professional network
• Project management experience across multiple projects
• Understand OFCCP regulations and related local, state, and federal rules
• Analytics, labor and compliance reporting skills
• Resourceful decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Leadership of non-direct-report personnel
• Proactive, hands-on learner with strong initiative
• Computer skills including SAP and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Create local Community & Citizenship business plan aligned with BU sales goals and implement core activities
• Participate in pre-construction and project meetings to align C&C goals and gain project support
• Oversee local UBE program to achieve established goals and increase bid opportunities
• Manage reporting and ensure compliance for prime and lower-tier trades
• Maintain up-to-date local UBE bidder directory and certifications
• Collaborate with UBEs and Procurement to discuss resources and upcoming projects
• Provide information for proposals and participate in project presentations
• Develop reporting systems and internal audits to measure ROI and program effectiveness
• Partner with organizations advocating for UBEs and workforce development
• Prepare performance reviews as needed and manage workforce development programs
• Develop and manage program budgets and obtain senior leadership review
• Support cross-functional teams to ensure OFCCP compliance
• Manage educational programs to build a pipeline to the construction industry
• Create opportunities to engage employees in Community & Citizenship initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
