Job summary

CardWorks Financial Group seeks a Senior Specialist, Communications to lead internal and external communications planning, execution, and measurement. You will own the intranet, employee newsletter, calendars, and analytics while supporting media relations and events.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, and able to partner with stakeholders across the organization to improve communications effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field preferred.
• Three or more years of communications, public relations, marketing, or related experience.
• Strong writing and editing abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the companywide communications calendar, advising stakeholders on timing and cadence.
• Execute internal communications through email, intranet, Teams, and other channels.
• Own the end-to-end internal email process through PoliteMail, including building and distributing communications.
• Develop and support communication plans for key initiatives, programs, and events.
• Maintain targeted distribution lists for audience-specific communications.
• Serve as primary administrator for myNET, including publishing news and managing the events calendar.
• Manage homepage content and banner promotions for timely content.
• Create or source graphics and visual assets for intranet content.
• Own The Works Weekly newsletter from planning to distribution.
• Track and analyze communications performance across channels and meetings.
• Prepare reports highlighting engagement trends and improvement opportunities.
• Provide campaign-specific metrics to partners and leadership.
• Support media relations activities, sponsorships, and industry engagement initiatives.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reporting and insights.
• Assist with planning internal and external events and conferences.
• Coordinate vendor onboarding, invoicing, and budget tracking for Communications projects.
• Maintain project trackers, calendars, and department records.
• Support meeting coordination and stakeholder communications.
