What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Analyze, develop, and execute written and visual communication content related to suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention
- Design creative messaging products and campaigns to promote suicide prevention efforts
- Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Create communication materials such as factsheets, one-pagers, and PowerPoint presentations
- Provide clear verbal and written communications aligned with Department of Defense (DoD) style expectations
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Master b2s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related technical field and 7+ years of directly related experience
- 10+ years of total work experience
- 7+ years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or marketing
- Proficiency in graphic design and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in website redesign
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or Illustrator
- Background in a military environment or with military personnel
- Experience in a DoD or government public affairs shop creating communication materials for military audiences
- Skills in social media planning, event coordination, and stakeholder outreach communications
