Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Communications Network Engineer Senior to design, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise networks for a federal defense organization. On-site in Norfolk, VA, the role focuses on LAN/WAN/BAN, Cisco gear, and secure government operations.

Responsibilities include network administration, optimization, migrations, and coordination with cross-functional teams, while ensuring DoD security requirements and documentation are upheld.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience administering and supporting enterprise networks.
• Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN and Cisco equipment.
• Experience with network performance analysis and migrations.
• CCNA or equivalent, IAT II, and an Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, and BAN networks.
• Configure Cisco routers and switches and optimize network infrastructure.
• Analyze performance and resolve connectivity issues to ensure availability.
• Support large-scale system integrations and network migrations.
• Document network diagrams, configurations, and change records.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure operations.
