Job summary

The California Native Vote Project (CNVP) seeks a Senior Communications Manager to guide and oversee communications strategies, media relations, and campaigns that advance CNVP’s justice and youth empowerment mission. You will lead content development, digital campaigns, and partnerships with allies and funders.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, expertise in strategic communications, and the ability to travel statewide.

Qualifications

• Experience with Native American communities and Tribal organizations preferred.
• Minimum five years as a full-time communications/public relations professional with supervisory experience.
• Graduate degree desirable or commensurate experience.
• Proven track record in content and PR strategies that raise brand awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an integrated, organization-wide strategic communications plan.
• Lead media relations and act as spokesperson when needed.
• Manage digital campaigns and content across channels.
• Oversee internal and external communications strategies for organizing and campaigns.
• Maintain graphic identity standards and media outreach.
