University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Senior Communications Manager in the Department of Surgery Chair Office to lead a communications team. You will draft, implement, and oversee marketing materials and executive communications across multiple platforms.

Collaborating with department leadership, you will manage content campaigns, coordinate with web and design teams, and guide priorities for institutional and departmental communications. Remote/hybrid eligibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Six years of related experience required.

Responsabilités

• Creates, drafts, and implements a variety of communications and marketing needs/collateral.
• Supports/implements communications and marketing for mass email, social media, web, etc.
• Works closely with leadership to determine key strategic areas to be highlighted through communications and develop content campaigns and timelines.
• Oversee content creation and communications projects for institution/school/department/center.
• Promotes communication of key messages and adherence to style guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
