UNFPA seeks a communications consultant to lead strategy, content development and advocacy across the EU4GE joint programme, spanning Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The role focuses on storytelling, media engagement and donor visibility, coordinating with UN Women and regional teams to ensure aligned messaging.

The consultant will produce multimedia content, manage campaigns, and support events and briefing materials, delivering high‑quality outputs in English for diverse audiences.

Competenze

• Master’s degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, public relations, social sciences or international relations.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in communications, advocacy or public relations.
• Experience working on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
• Outstanding oral and written communication and editorial skills.
• Experience developing high‑quality written content for online and traditional materials.
• Experience within the UN system is an asset.
• Experience supporting online and offline events is an asset.
• Proficient with standard office technology, IT tools, internet and email.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Russian is an asset.

• Lead development and implementation of communication and visibility activities across the joint programme.
• Review and QA communication products for accuracy, consistency and donor compliance.
• Develop creative concepts, campaigns and storytelling approaches for diverse audiences.
• Produce stories and multimedia content highlighting programme results.
• Coordinate dissemination of materials through appropriate channels.
• Oversee multimedia content production and digital assets.
• Monitor media coverage and donor visibility across platforms.
• Support EU donor visibility requirements and communications protocols.
