Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring a Senior Communications and Policy Analyst to support program management, public relations, strategic planning, policy review, and reporting activities at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This role involves providing support to analysts and communications specialists, executing government taskings, creating graphics, presentation materials, managing customer relationships, and fulfilling various programmatic needs. This position is fully remote and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory and communications support, including building presentations and briefing materials, drafting responses to congressional correspondence, and editing documents for senior leadership.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with federal law enforcement managers and subject matter experts.
• Analyze, interpret, and convey complex policies, procedures, and programs clearly and succinctly.
• Track and report progress on high-profile tasks and reports.
• Assist with research, process improvements, and fast-moving special projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and compile information for timely responses.
• Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions for client needs and challenges.
• Support team members to meet project deadlines and requirements.
• Contribute to strategic materials, including graphics, videos, marketing materials, press releases, and SOPs.
• Disseminate information among customers and external stakeholders to support the program.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience (or 8+ years with a master's degree).
• Experience working in dynamic environments related to Homeland Security, National Security, or Law Enforcement.

Clearance Required: Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance (US citizenship required).

Compensation

The posted salary range is USD $85,000 - $105,000 per year, with actual offers depending on experience and other factors. Compensation may include additional elements discussed during hiring. This is an at-will position.
