Raytheon seeks an experienced professional to collaborate and execute within an integrated commodity performance management team environment. As a Senior Commodity Performance Lead (CPL) you will be responsible for managing highly complex energetics and propulsion products across multiple suppliers within our Operations and Supply Chain pillar. This high visibility role involves frequent interaction with executive level leadership on both the supplier and Raytheon sides. This role works closely with Mission Assurance, Engineering, Material Program Management, Procurement, Operations, and Program Management. The ideal candidate will draw from extensive operations, program management, and supply chain management skills to collaborate with a cross functional team that manages and oversees the performance of multiple suppliers to improve supplier performance and ensure suppliers meet our business objectives. The candidate will communicate with all levels of the organizations leveraging business acumen to assess contractual, operational, sourcing, and technical concerns that may impact a supplier’s ability to meet our business objectives and can proactively identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.

What You Will Do
  • Collaboration and engagement with Strategic Business Units, Programs, and functions including Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, and Engineering, to address supplier performance and strategy approaches that assure flawless execution and drives affordability from our supply base
  • Improve the overall performance of assigned suppliers
  • Manage multiple program priorities and deconflict needs and priorities at the supplier
  • Assist in evolving supply base alignment with Raytheon’s technology roadmaps
  • Meet or exceed program objectives to include supplier financial, technical, quality, and schedule performance
  • Responsible for driving actions and influencing a cross functional team of professionals to execute goals
  • Build relationships with supplier counterparts and executives to drive alignment and performance with our organization’s priorities
  • Develop and implement a supplier strategy that addresses execution and future business needs
  • Assess and utilize supplier metrics to reduce risk and inform internal stakeholders
  • Business travel approximately 25-40%
Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 10 years of Operations/Program Management/Supply Chain or related experience OR an advanced degree and 7 years related experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • PM, MPM, or SCM Certification
  • Operations, program management, supply chain, and technical background along with the ability to lead across functional and organizational boundaries
  • Demonstrated experience developing suppliers and working with suppliers to improve performance and affordability
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and lead in a cross functional environment
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply critical thinking throughout the supplier performance management and oversight process
  • Demonstrated experience in constraint management and lean manufacturing principles
  • Skilled in communications, team building, conflict resolution and relationship management to create an effective partnering environment that includes credibility, respect and trust
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and present executive level reviews and briefings
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Experience with operations or program management, including program development lifecycle, Statement of Work generation, risk management, action item management, requirement change management
  • Experience and understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Process improvement certification such as CORE, Six Sigma, or other
  • Proficiency in tools and systems including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Aware of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR and DFARS) and ITAR requirements
  • Security clearance – Secret
  • Master’s degree in business or other related field

Role type and remote work details: Remote designation is currently in effect. Employees in remote roles will work primarily offsite and may travel to the site as needed. The successful candidate must reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, and more. Benefits vary by business unit and collective-bargaining agreement status. Incentive programs may apply based on role, performance, and company factors.
