Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a Commodity Material Manager for a 12-month, onsite assignment in Austin, TX. The role requires 8+ years of experience in commodity material management and direct vendor management to own strategic supplier relationships.

The position is a temporary onsite role with a pay rate of $80.00 per hour. The candidate will work with compute and storage suppliers, interpret demand/supply data, and drive improvements across high-volume infrastructure commodities.

Qualifications

• Direct vendor management experience to own strategic supplier relationships.
• Interpret complex demand/supply reports and drive supply improvements.
• Synthesize supply health and risk posture into decision-ready updates for senior leadership.
• Experience with hyperscale data center or cloud infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic supplier relationships and vendor management.
• Interpret complex demand/supply reports to drive improvements.
• Lead time reduction, capacity expansion, and on-time delivery (OTD) in high-volume infrastructure commodities.
• Navigate conflicts across internal teams and external partners.
• Communicate supply health and risk posture to senior leadership.
