Job summary

Aria Networks, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Commodity Lead to secure supply and cost for every part in our data center switches. You will own the full BOM, drive sourcing from ICs to enclosures, and balance supply assurance with cost in a startup environment.

You will build the supplier network, negotiate terms, and forecast material needs while collaborating with engineering, NPI, and finance to hit BOM cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years in commodity management or enterprise hardware sourcing.
• Hands-on sourcing across full BOM: electronic components to enclosures.
• Established network with manufacturers, distributors, and reps.
• Track record of managing lead times and securing supply during shortages.
• E&O management with contract manufacturers, including liability reviews.
• Material planning: forecasts, MRP, and CM inventory.
• Strong should-cost modeling and cost/supply tradeoffs for engineering.
• Startup environment experience is a plus.
• Experience with high-speed optics and related components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own cost and supply for the whole system BOM.
• Lead sourcing for ICs, passives, PCBs, cables, power, and enclosures.
• Track lead times and market conditions; build buffer stock or LTAs.
• Build relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and reps.
• Negotiate pricing and terms; develop should-cost models.
• Convert build forecast into material plans with CM partners.
• Manage excess/obsolete exposure and reschedule as needed.
• Collaborate with hardware and NPI on part selection and life-cycle risk.
• Set up commodity processes, scorecards, and reporting; hire team as we grow.
