Job summary

BorgWarner Arden campus in North Carolina is seeking a Buyer to lead supplier relationships and drive value across turbocharger components. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost, quality and delivery while supporting manufacturing initiatives.

The role requires project management, strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization at multiple levels.

Qualifications

• 4-year Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
• 1-3 years of project management experience.
• 3-5 years of purchasing experience in automotive/manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to implement value-creation projects for Asheville Operations.
• Direct project scope, cost containment, and stakeholder alignment.
• Manage supply chain projects with internal alignment and communications.
• Drive regular reviews and action execution with stakeholders.
• Negotiate long-term supplier agreements and cost reductions.
• Collaborate with customer teams and global commodity managers.
