A leading industrial manufacturer is seeking a Senior Commodity Buyer to focus on Maintenance, Repair, and Operations procurement. This role entails sourcing, negotiating, and managing MRO supplies while maintaining quality standards and building strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred.
• APICS CPIM certification is a plus.

Industrial manufacturer is seeking a Senior Commodity Buyer, focusing on Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) procurement. Source and purchase tools, parts, equipment, and supplies, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition while maintaining quality standards. This role involves building strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with internal teams to support operational needs.

• Office Monday - Thursday (8-5 or similar), Remote work on Friday
• Full suite of benefits, healthcare, 401K, PTO, etc.
• CPIM certification is a plus (APICS/ASCM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure MRO materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to optimize costs and quality.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, coordinating with maintenance teams for replenishment.
• Create and track purchase orders, resolving discrepancies in shipments, pricing, or quality.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to align purchasing with business needs.
• Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data and reconcile supplier invoices.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement corrective actions for defective materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.
• 5+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred).
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• APICS CPIM certification is a plus.
