Job summary

Jain Global LLC in New York seeks a Commodities Operations Associate to oversee reconciliations, settlements, and risk controls across multiple commodities. You will collaborate with front office and operations teams to ensure smooth trade lifecycle management and product onboarding.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years of experience in trading operations, strong reconciliation skills, and a deep knowledge of US Gas & Power.

Qualifications

10–15 years of experience in trading operations, middle office, or investment operations.
Experience with multiple commodity products; SME in US Gas & Power preferred.
Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and operational controls.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily trade, position, and cash reconciliations across multiple commodities.
Monitor and communicate with front office on physically settled contracts and roll/trade decisions.
Test and build out processes for new product approvals within Commodities.
Investigate and resolve trade, settlement, and cash breaks with internal teams and counterparties.
Support full trade lifecycle: capture, allocation, settlement, and exception management.
Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Finance, Operations, Prime Brokers, custodians, and fund administrators.
Assist with portfolio and NAV reconciliations and daily operational controls.
Identify process improvements and help automate manual workflows.
Support onboarding, product launches, and operational projects across trading platform.
Ensure operational risks are identified, escalated, and resolved promptly.
