JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work for innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside a diverse team of industry professionals.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

1. Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
2. Completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
3. Learns how to develop budgetary M/E estimates based on program and schematic design information using automated M/E estimating systems.
4. Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction, completing systems analysis for select projects.
5. Learns to develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work for the bid process.
6. Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection process.
7. Helps develop sequencing requirements of various systems and provides solutions to meet schedule requirements.
8. Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues and develop constructability review reports.
9. Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met, and work is completed in a timely manner.
10. Assists with shop drawing/submittal process to ensure compliance with contract documents.
11. Supports the commissioning process, including developing pre-functional checklists, functional testing procedures, and conducting functional testing.

Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core

1. Completes increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, and field activities.
2. Develops budget estimates based on program and schematic design info.
3. Reviews options, completes systems analysis, recommends best systems, and suggests value engineering.
4. Coordinates scopes of work during bidding, develops sequencing requirements, and provides scheduling input.
5. Reviews design documents, identifies quality issues, and helps develop quality control programs.
6. Performs job inspections to ensure quality and specifications.
7. Develops pre-functional checklists and verifies contractor performance.
8. Reviews and approves shop drawings.
9. Generates and issues the Commissioning Plan.
10. Verifies deficiencies are corrected and submits documentation.
11. Mentors less experienced team members.
12. Creates tools and solutions to improve processes.
13. Negotiates subcontracts, purchases equipment, and builds client relationships.
14. Participates in interviews, presentations, and community events.
15. Manages resource allocation and staffing for projects.
16. Leads and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering, or related field (Required).
• Equivalent relevant experience considered.

Experience

• 10+ years of construction management experience (Preferred).

Working Environment

• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
