KFI Engineers is seeking a Commissioning Engineer IV to support commissioning, RCx, and energy audit projects in the Performance Group. The role involves technical oversight, fieldwork, and managing staff, with opportunities to contribute to business development.

The candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering degree, 10+ years of HVAC/building operations experience, and relevant certifications; travel up to 25% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
• 10+ years of direct HVAC, building operations, or construction fields.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
• Professional demeanor representing the company.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Travel: up to 25% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Field Task Execution: conducts building performance evaluations and audits including commissioning and retro-commissioning; primarily executes HVAC functional tests; witnesses other systems tests; participates in construction meetings; records action items and distributes to stakeholders; inspects MEP installations; performs TAB measurements.
