Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive property and casualty insurance with commercial lines underwriting
• Bachelor’s degree; CPCU designation preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement underwriting and portfolio strategies to support growth.
• Oversee underwriting quality, risk assessment, authority limits, and service standards.
• Evaluate portfolio, territory, and agency performance to identify growth opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance on high-value accounts to ensure sound risk management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop underwriting staff for high performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Actuarial, Marketing, Claims, Operations, and IT.
• Communicate underwriting standards and product offerings clearly to agency partners.
• Set team and individual goals, coach, and manage performance.
