Job summary

Western Alliance Bank, a subsidiary of Western Alliance Bancorporation, seeks a Vice President, Commercial Underwriter- CRE & C&I to underwrite complex loan requests across commercial real estate and commercial & industrial lending. You will collaborate with lending officers, review loan structures and prepare memos for Credit Administration.

You will mentor junior analysts, assess risk factors, and ensure compliance with banking regulations, aiming to optimize credit quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Advanced underwriting experience for commercial industries (CRE)
• Advanced knowledge of banking operations and regulatory obligations.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex loan requests and renewals across CRE & C&I.
• Review loan structures, financial spreads, collateral, and market data to assess risk.
• Prepare opportunity memos, loan presentations, and annual reviews for Credit Administration.
• Mentor junior analysts in financial analysis and credit risk factors.
• Collaborate with lending officers to negotiate terms and conditions.
