The position is remotein Oregon, Washington or Idaho, with starting pay from $43.00- $53.75 per hour.
The Senior Commercial Underwriter carries out analytical, technical, underwriting, and portfolio management functions related to business loan activities. They examine financial documents tied to business loan requests to identify pertinent underwriting factors. Their responsibilities include analyzing potential business loan borrowers to determine relevant underwriting factors such as income trends, quality of management, industry trends, potential risks, and collateral type and valuations. They also prepare various credit requests, including the results of credit analysis and a summary of loan requirements with recommendations. Additionally, they actively participate in Business Loan Committee presentations, deliver timely and accurate information for decision-making, and interact with borrowers or other appropriate sources to gather financial, operating, and/or collateral information continuously for analysis and monitoring purposes.
Applicants must have a minimum of two years' experience in commercial credit underwriting. Essential skills include strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications, is required.
An equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position will be considered in lieu of the outlined requirements.
