Qualifications

• Law Degree required.
• Admitted to practice in the state of employment.
• Licensed to practice law, in good standing.
• 5–7 years title underwriting experience; commercial experience preferred.
• Familiar with real estate law, including federal and state regulations.
• Strong analytical rigor and business acumen.
• Strong negotiation skills with tact in complex scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization for real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
• Underwrite title insurance within delegated authority and guidelines.
• Guide company personnel in real estate settlement services.
• Develop underwriting standards and ensure compliance with processes.
