Job summary

Howard Building Corporation seeks experienced Superintendents for fast-paced commercial interiors in the Los Angeles area. You will lead field crews, manage schedules, safety, and coordination with clients, architects, and inspectors to deliver high-quality tenant improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree or construction certification preferred.
• Class A commercial tenant improvement, creative office, tech space, renovation experience preferred.
• Strong ability to read and understand architectural and engineered plans, details, and specifications.
• Experience reading drawings and schedules and coordinating multiple trades.
• Knowledge of CAL-OSHA, jobsite safety, and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field leadership and coordination of commercial tenant improvement projects.
• Manage project schedules, sequencing, manpower, deliveries, access, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ensure safety, organization, and CAL-OSHA compliance on site.
• Conduct quality control and inspect work for conformance with plans.
• Coordinate with clients, building management, landlords, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project partners.
• Communicate daily with the Project Manager and project support team.
• Handle field documentation including RFIs, submittals, bulletins, shop drawings, and field reports.
• Lead weekly foremen meetings and coordinate inspections and turnover.
