Job summary

Fortis is seeking a Senior Commercial Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial credits and partner with Commercial Bankers to deliver client solutions.

You will manage underwriting, monitor risk, and collaborate with Credit Analysts to prepare credit presentations and annual reviews. The role focuses on credit quality and ongoing client engagement within a growing Colorado-based bank.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of credit portfolio management experience with ability to lead on terms and covenants.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting strongly preferred; MBA, CPA or CFA strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of financial statements and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial Bankers to structure credits and manage loans through approval processes.
• Own underwriting of loans and review of credit presentations with Analysts.
• Develop and maintain credit risk controls, monitor covenants and client financial data.
• Prepare annual reviews of existing credits and monitor risk ratings.
• Ensure satisfaction and sound credit decisions in portfolio management.
