Job summary

M&T Bank in Buffalo, NY, seeks a detail-focused professional to manage credit portfolio administration for Commercial loans and oversee post-close loan servicing. You will support portfolio management, monitor risks, and resolve complex servicing issues across multiple banking systems.

You will be the primary contact for loan servicing requests, collaborating with Relationship Managers and other bank partners to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliant processing.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with minimum 3 years' relevant experience in Commercial Banking Operations, Client Servicing/Loan Servicing, Portfolio Management Support, Credit Operations or Accounting.
• Strong and effective written and verbal skills.
• Ability to remain courteous and professional when handling calls and sensitive customer information.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with a team.
• Ability to apply knowledge of legal and regulatory issues to internal processes and demonstrate the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
• Effective math skills for banking transactions such as advances, wires, payments, and loan fees to multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains knowledge of accounting loan systems, policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines; resolves issues.
• Reviews commercial loan documents and onboarding checklists; services loan portfolio post-booking.
• Monitors ongoing credit risks and identifies emerging risks.
• Processes loan servicing tasks: payments, payoffs, transfers, rate changes, delinquencies, maturities, reporting.
