Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Commercial Manager in Los Angeles to lead day-to-day commercial and contracts operations for a major infrastructure program. You will report to the Project Manager and work with the Prime Contracts team to implement management programs and ensure compliance.

The role requires deep experience managing contracts on large projects, developing strategies, and documenting variations, with formal training in project commercial matters.

• Experience delivering in collaborative working arrangements.
• Experience managing contracts with varied commercial terms and incentive models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Prime Contract Management Program for the project.
• Assess contract terms to identify risk and deviations.
• Coordinate actions with client and project teams and document events.
• Prepare materials, track actions, and manage relationships with departments.
• Support changes/variations and timely resolution under contract rules.
• Maintain tools and processes for compliance, reports, logs and dashboards.
• Deliver ongoing training on contract management principles.
• Communicate effectively on commercial matters with stakeholders.
• Capture contemporaneous records and substantiate project commercial matters.
• Perform factual, technical and contractual research and prepare reports.
