Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking an experienced Wholesale Banking Loan Closer to coordinate and finalize complex commercial loan transactions. You will review terms, prepare comprehensive closing checklists, and ensure all documentation aligns with approvals and policy.

Strong attention to detail and communication with lenders, attorneys, and customers are essential. Requires 3+ years in wholesale banking closings, advanced knowledge of loan documentation, and proficiency with banking software and MS

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of commercial loan documentation and structures (CRE, ABL, C&I).
• Due diligence requirements for complex loan transactions and related documents.
• Proficiency with banking software and Microsoft Office; strong analyze-and-report skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates closing of large, complex commercial loans.
• Reviews terms, policy, and regulatory requirements to prepare closing checklists.
• Prepares loan documentation and ensures accuracy against approvals.
• Reviews and verifies legal closing documents for accuracy.
• Manages high-volume loan files and communicates status with lenders and borrowers.
• Interacts with attorneys, third-party vendors, and customers to resolve issues.
