Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems for clients in Virginia and beyond.

You will perform preventive maintenance, read wiring diagrams, and diagnose electrical and control issues while delivering professional, reliable service and maintaining thorough documentation. A valid driver's license and strong customer communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service, maintenance, or repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Valid driver\'s license with clean record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and service life.
• Inspect equipment and identify mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
• Complete repairs and component replacements according to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Verify proper system operation following service and repair work.
• Respond to scheduled service calls and emergency service requests.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding equipment condition, repairs, and recommendations.
