Job summary

New England Total Energy (NETR) is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. This on-site role services rooftop units, walk-ins, and display cases, using electrical schematics and EPA compliance.

You'll have 5–7 years of experience or a qualifying HVAC/R degree, EPA 608, OSHA 10, and a valid driver's license. NETR offers year-round work, top pay, a company vehicle, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of commercial HVAC/R service experience or a 2-year HVAC/R technical degree with relevant field experience.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I, II, or Universal required)
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Hot Work Certification
• High school diploma plus completion of a vocational or technical HVAC/R program
• State or municipal refrigeration/mechanical license where required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience servicing commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment
• Ability to work independently and provide outstanding customer service

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Service rooftop units (RTUs), walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, ice machines, display cases, and refrigeration systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using wiring diagrams, multimeters, and manufacturer specifications
• Recover, recycle, and recharge refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations
• Repair and replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves (TXVs), EPR valves, and related components
• Read blueprints, piping diagrams, and equipment schematics
• Complete service documentation accurately and communicate findings with customers
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
