Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy is a full-service HVAC and energy solutions contractor seeking skilled technicians to install, test, and commission commercial systems. You will work on RTUs, AHUs, VAVs, and related equipment, performing preventive maintenance and quality checks in challenging environments.

The role requires hands-on installation, brazing, welding, and electrical understanding with a strong emphasis on safety, manuals, and adherence to PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in maintaining similar type and size commercial equipment; Universal CFC certification.
• Experience with ladders, roofs, and attics.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to join metal parts.
• Understanding of basic electrical circuits, disconnects, electric valves, and low/high voltage wiring.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of safe use of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices.
• Valid Driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move materials.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights.
• Ability to wear PPE (dust mask, gloves, eye protection, hearing protection).

Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC units, brazing, line sets, trimming refrigerant and charging.
• Install piping systems including drains, p-traps, water lines, gas lines, valves and actuators.
• Install coils, compressors, condensers, fans, motors, and combustion equipment.
• Perform start up, testing and commissioning on RTUs, Air Handlers, VAVs, FCUs, swamp coolers.
• Test lines and components for leaks and repair defective joints.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as cleaning, filter changes, and oiling parts.
