Job summary

CloudKitchens is hiring for an HVAC/R & Facilities Maintenance role in the Greater Newark area. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation across multiple sites.

The position involves field work with local travel and on‑site coordination with vendors and internal teams. We seek 4+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience, ROOFTOP units/ventilation expertise, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience.
• Experience with rooftops, ventilation, or refrigeration (WIC/F).
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites locally.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems (WIC/R, RTUs, exhaust fans, hoods, make‑up air units, DOAS).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites.
• Support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work.
• Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and diagnose issues.
• Provide remote troubleshooting support to onsite teams and vendors.
• Review reports (startup, testing, balancing) to verify system performance.
• Assist with new facility openings by verifying installation and system functionality.
• Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions.
