EMI is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician II to support the NAS Patuxent River site. The role focuses on advanced maintenance, repair, and modernization of commercial HVAC systems with emphasis on chillers, pumps, and VRF technology.

You will work under a union framework with extensive training, benefits, and opportunities for career growth, including tuition support and retirement planning. This is a non-seasonal, steady position on a military installation with overtime availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of advanced experience in maintenance, repair, installation, and operation of commercial HVAC systems.
• Current Maryland Journeyman License.
• EPA Universal Refrigeration License.
• HVAC training or equivalent.
• Overtime—evenings & weekends may be required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and service air-cooled chillers, pumps, and water systems, and VRF systems.
• Test input/output for building sensors/activators.
• Service split package, residential and light commercial units, including mini-splits, VAVs, AHUs.
• Use a multimeter to check voltages; brazing with torch as needed.
• Prepare work orders and cost estimates; mentor Technician I.
