Job summary

Kelso Industries is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician/Chiller Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize a wide range of commercial HVAC and building automation systems across facilities, with a safety-first mindset and focus on quality service.

You will handle complex diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and system optimizations, mentoring apprentices when applicable, while adhering to EPA standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• BAS/DDC controls experience a plus.
• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting across voltage ranges.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and access mechanical rooms.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment.
• Commission and start up chiller and controls systems for peak efficiency.
• Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers.
• Read blueprints and control schematics.
• Keep accurate service documentation of work and recommendations.
• Communicate findings and next steps clearly to customers.
• Follow safety requirements and EPA standards; mentor apprentices when applicable.
