Job summary

Construction Insurance Services LLC in Dallas seeks an experienced Commercial Claims Litigation Manager to oversee complex General Liability claims from assignment to resolution.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of litigated GL claims experience, a valid adjuster license, and a proven ability to direct outside defense counsel, develop litigation strategies, and manage budgets and settlements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience managing litigated commercial General Liability insurance claims.
• Valid insurance adjuster license.
• Extensive knowledge of liability claims handling, litigation procedures, and settlement negotiations.
• Demonstrated experience directing outside defense counsel and managing complex litigation.
• Strong understanding of insurance coverage, liability evaluation, damages assessment, and reserving practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including detailed reports and clear litigation strategies.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters independently while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex, litigated commercial General Liability claims from assignment through resolution.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes while controlling legal expenses.
• Direct and oversee outside defense counsel, including litigation plans, budgets, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and trials.
• Evaluate liability, damages, coverage issues, and potential exposure to establish appropriate claim reserves and settlement strategies.
• Review and analyze pleadings, discovery materials, expert reports, medical records, and other litigation documents.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations and settlement conferences.
• Prepare comprehensive claim evaluations, litigation reports, and recommendations for insurers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor litigation developments, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and maintain accurate claim documentation.
• Identify opportunities for early resolution and cost-effective claim management.
