Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking an experienced commercial construction estimator to lead bids from early documentation through contract execution. The role focuses on interior tenant fit-outs, with retail experience preferred, and requires strong project and schedule management, plus effective negotiation with subcontractors.

You will review drawings, prepare estimates, issue RFIs, use Procore and Microsoft Office, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

10–15 years of experience in commercial construction.
8–10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
Experience with interior tenant fit-outs required; retail tenant fit-out preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare comprehensive estimates for commercial construction projects.
Review drawings and bid documents to identify requirements.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive construction schedules.
Develop and issue RFIs relating to drawings and bid documents.
Negotiate final contracts with subcontractors regarding scope, pricing, and terms.
Interact professionally with clients and subcontractors throughout estimating and construction.
Communicate with team members and clients to ensure alignment and progress.
Utilize Procore to support estimating and project activities.
Use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
Travel as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
