Job summary

Confident Search Consultants is seeking a seasoned commercial construction estimator to lead project bids from preliminary takeoffs through contract execution. You will review drawings, prepare estimates, develop schedules, and coordinate with clients and subs.

Hybrid work arrangement with a requirement to reside within 50 miles of the office and periodic travel; 10–15 years in construction, with strong tenant fit-out experience, preferred.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in commercial construction.
• 8–10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Experience with interior tenant fit-outs required.
• Retail tenant fit-out experience preferred.
• Some ground-up construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review drawings and bid documents to identify project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive construction schedules.
• Develop and issue RFIs relating to drawings and bid documents.
• Negotiate final contracts with subcontractors regarding scope, pricing, and terms.
• Interact professionally with clients and subcontractors throughout the estimating and construction process.
• Communicate with team members and clients to keep projects moving forward.
• Travel as required.
