Job summary

NewGround International is seeking an Estimator to prepare budgets, takeoffs, and cost estimates for commercial construction and renovation projects in a hybrid work setting. You will collaborate with sales, design, and construction teams to ensure accurate pricing and value engineering opportunities across design phases.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of estimating experience, with proficiency in Procore Estimating, Excel, and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate conceptual, schematic, and construction document estimates for commercial projects.
• Develop project budgets, quantity takeoffs, and cost analyses for required scopes of work.
• Review drawings, specifications, and site information to establish scope and pricing.
• Solicit and incorporate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Communicate estimates and cost impacts with clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with sales, architects, and project managers to establish estimating requirements and timelines.
• Prepare bid tabulations and presentation materials for internal reviews and client meetings.
• Monitor design progression and update estimates for changes.
• Support preconstruction and construction teams with budget guidance and cost analysis.
• Maintain estimating software, cost databases, and historical cost information.
