Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking a motivated Pedestrian & Entry Door Technician with 4+ years in the door industry to install, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial doors. AAADM certification is required, with relocation assistance available and a $10,000 hiring bonus for experienced candidates.

You will diagnose issues, configure door hardware, ensure safety/compliance, and provide excellent customer service on site with company vehicles and tools provided.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of commercial door service experience.
• AAADM certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors, docks, and related hardware.
• Diagnose door issues such as springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components.
• Install and configure door hardware including access control systems.
• Ensure safety and building code compliance for all installations.
• Maintain records of service visits and prepare reports as required.
• Provide cost‑effective solutions and communicate with customers.
