Collins Community Credit Union in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to support commercial lending through detailed financial analysis, underwriting, risk assessment, and portfolio monitoring. You will evaluate loan opportunities, prepare cash flow analyses and credit memos, monitor covenant compliance, and collaborate with Loan Officers and management while mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Analyze commercial loan requests and provide independent credit recommendations based on financial performance, collateral, and risk.
• Prepare financial statement spreads, cash flow analyses, and credit memos using underwriting tools.
• Evaluate repayment capacity via financial statements, tax returns, DSCR, liquidity, and profitability metrics.
• Assign and monitor risk ratings and covenant compliance.
• Identify risks and opportunities within borrower relationships and industries.
• Partner with Loan Officers to structure lending relationships balancing member needs and risk.
• Monitor existing credits, identify emerging risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare portfolio monitoring reports for management and committees.
• Lead in department initiatives and support staff development.
