One Community Bank is seeking a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst to evaluate credit risk by reviewing borrower and guarantor financial data and turning analysis into lending recommendations.

You will own the bank’s most complex credit relationships and support the analyst team with guidance, spreads, and detailed memos. This role emphasizes rigorous analysis, clear communication, and adherence to credit policies while enabling loan growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• 4–5 years of commercial credit analyst experience in banking.
• Strong credit risk assessment, financial statement analysis, and memo/presentation writing skills.
• Knowledge of banking accounting rules, regulations, and policies.
• Advanced Excel/Microsoft Office skills.
• Clear communication and mentoring/leadership ability.

The Opportunity

Your day is anchored in focused analysis and timely collaboration. You’ll start by prioritizing a pipeline of higher-complexity relationships, then move between deep review work and quick touchpoints with lenders to confirm assumptions, clarify documentation, and align on next steps. Expect time blocked for building clean, decision-ready narratives—translating numbers into concise conclusions and for keeping annual reviews moving forward. As questions come in, you’ll pause to coach newer analysts, helping them think through structure, cash flow, and risk. You’ll wrap up by checking progress against deadlines, noting any policy considerations, and preparing what’s needed for upcoming committee or approval conversations.
