Job summary

JM Family Enterprises is seeking a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst to drive automotive commercial financial analysis and underwriting. The role collaborates with Sales, Leadership, and internal departments to support lending decisions while managing risk in a dynamic market.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial finance, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to present complex data clearly. This hybrid role supports the lending/advance program and business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial financial analysis and underwriting; automotive experience a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven mindset.
• Attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex data.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Power BI and Automate a plus.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Underwriting: analyze tax returns and other statements to assess cash flow and repayment capacity.
• Deal Structure: evaluate collateral and financial position to optimize profitability and risk.
• Credit Committee Presentation: prepare and present credit requests to senior leadership.
• Portfolio Management: monitor loan performance and coordinate with field sales.
• Process Improvement: automate workflows and build reports to support data-driven decisions.

Review draft loan/advance agreements for accuracy and completeness.Deal Structure: Review JM&A customer relationship profit models, available collateral, and financial position to propose loan/advance structures that enhance relationship profitability while also ensuring adequate repayment capacity to mitigate risk. Frequent collaboration with the field sales team.Credit Committee Presentation: Prepare and present comprehensive credit request packages for approval. Meeting attendees include senior leadership team, sales, acquisition, and legal associates.Portfolio Management: Monitor performance of loans/advances once booked and collaborate with field sales team to ensure that relationships are performing as expected. Maintain a dynamic lending portfolio dashboard.Process Improvement: Increase productivity and efficiency by automating workflows, improving data integration, and developing standardized and customized reports, dashboards, and tools to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA a plus.5+ years of experience in commercial financial analysis and underwriting; automotive experience a plus.Solid problem-solving skills, with a natural curiosity to explore data and uncover insights.Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Exemplary communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
