Job summary
Cardlytics is seeking a Commercial Legal Director to lead the drafting, negotiation, and management of a broad set of technology, data, and partnership contracts. You will partner with Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Engineering to align legal risk with business goals and scale our platform globally.
The role requires a JD with 8+ years of experience in commercial transactions, strong negotiation skills, and deep understanding of privacy, data governance, and AI-related laws, including the EU
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active state bar.
- 8+ years of combined experience focusing on commercial transactions.
- Experience drafting and negotiating SaaS, data, advertising, and partnership deals.
- Deep understanding of privacy, data governance, and AI, including EU AI Act.
- Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills; able to influence stakeholders.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including SaaS and data licenses.
- Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risks and business objectives.
- Support deal structuring with Sales, Partnerships, and Product teams.
- Maintain and improve contract templates and playbooks.
- Work cross-functionally to address risks related to commercial, data security, and privacy topics.
