Job summary

McAfee is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to shape strategic supplier relationships, manage critical commercial risk, and scale contracting practices that support our mission to protect consumers online. You will advise senior stakeholders, lead negotiations on high-impact vendor agreements, and translate complex legal issues into clear, practical paths forward, including thoughtful uses of AI.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial negotiations at a law firm or in-house.
• Experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on transactions such as partnerships, licenses, MSA, and distribution agreements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to structure strategic transactions and manage legal/commercial risk.
• Collaborate with Procurement to improve supplier contracting speed and consistency.
• Lead drafting and negotiation of strategic vendor agreements and resolve contract disputes.
• Translate complex legal issues into concise, business-focused guidance with identified risks and tradeoffs.
• Coordinate with tax, IP, data privacy, and cybersecurity teams to deliver integrated advice.
• Develop and refine contract templates, playbooks, and scalable processes, including AI usage.
