Job summary

Stripe, Inc. is seeking an experienced transactional lawyer to join the Commercial Legal team supporting Stripe’s business in the Americas.

You will lead complex commercial negotiations, advise on new products and international expansion, and help build the legal processes and tools that support Stripe’s growth. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Product Legal, and global teams to solve challenging problems and provide practical advice.

Qualifications

• JD degree and bar membership in good standing in at least one US state.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience, in-house or tech-focused law firm.
• Familiarity with hosted data and technology service risks.
• Ability to synthesize complex issues and provide practical solutions.
• Proactive ownership and clear communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for complex commercial agreements with Americas Sales.
• Advise on product launches and international expansion from a legal perspective.
• Collaborate with Product Legal to bring new products to market.
• Draft and maintain agreements and internal playbooks; improve processes; apply AI to increase efficiency.
• Partner with global teams across Sales, Operations, Product, Tax, Risk.
• Deliver training and resources for Sales to understand Stripe products.
• Serve as escalation point for outside counsel.
